Lawrence grew up in Cambridge and is a chartered accountant with over 10 years’ experience working in charity finance, mainly leading on financial controls and compliance. He is currently Financial Controller at International Rescue Committee (IRC), UK, where he leads the UK finance function.
Before joining IRC Lawrence spent three years as Head of Financial Control and Operations for Shelter, the national campaign for homeless people limited, where he strengthened his passion for fighting housing rights and homelessness.
Outside of work, he enjoys following several sports, spending time with his young family, and building Lego.
