About Jimmy’s Cambridge
The Role
This post is an exciting role which will lead and develop the creation of a clinical service to support and tackle mental health issues amongst Jimmy’s residents. Recognising that gaps exist in mental health provision for our residents, we are seeking a registered mental health nurse to work on-site at Jimmy’s.
Ideally the role presents a secondment opportunity from a current NHS employer for approximately 12 months, enabling the successful candidate to lead the creation of a new service from scratch. There may be scope to extend the contract subject to funding and successful evaluation of the service created. There is flexibility on the working hours which are up to 36 hours full time.
About You
You will have a current NMC mental health nursing registration. This will be backed up with experience in supporting people with complex needs, including people who are experiencing both mental health issues and who are tackling alcohol and substance misuse. You will be excellent at building relationships with people, taking time to get to know people to work out how you can provide the help they need, including accessing related services.
Overarching this, the person will come with a genuine understanding and interest in people who are experiencing homelessness.
