All at Jimmy’s have a heavy heart this week as we said goodbye to one of our former residents last weekend. Nathan had been supported by Jimmy’s for periods over the last decade or more. He was a true friend to many staff and residents. None more than us were delighted when he moved on to set up home with his dog Nessie last year. Sadly, due to illness, he didn’t have as long as we might have hoped to live his independent life but we want to take this opportunity to celebrate his life and all the success he had.
Carol, friend and Head of Services at Jimmy’s said – “There is much joy to be taken though, as reflecting over the weekend Nathan achieved all he wanted to before he passed away and that I feel is his mission accomplished.”
And Nathan will always be remembered for his thank you note when he moved on from his place at our complex needs centre last year.
“Thank you so much for your help and encouragement over these last 15 months. I’m so glad I chose to try and stop my abuses.
“PS I’ll be over Sunday for the roast!!”
Our thoughts are with Nathan’s friends and family and all who knew him and feel this loss.
