In May we were joined by Sodexo and JLL who came to support us in revamping one of Jimmy’s gardens, which was in desperate need of some TLC.
On the 5th July we were delighted to welcome back the team to bring the next stage of the project to life, by landscaping the garden; planting shrubs, flowers and herbs to make it a sustainable, safe place for residents to enjoy.
Volunteers weeded, pruned and potted in the sunshine and even managed to salvage old edging, bricks and discarded patio slabs from the garden and completely repurpose them to create new borders/paving. All the plant pots that were leftover at the end were taken back to the garden centres to recycle.

“This springs to mind when I look back on this ‘living’ project. The Sodexo team and our client Supply Partners – Jones Lang LaSalle & Securitas have had a great time working together to make the garden a safe, practical space for Jimmy’s residents to enjoy. Having access to a garden is something that many of us may take for granted and I think it’s important to recognise the amazing physical & mental health benefits that come from enjoying these green spaces.
